I know...I know...I had these great visions of sharing cards that I had made every week *sigh* but I still haven't been crafting much. Life just gets too busy sometimes! So...when I was asked to help with a service project for our wounded troops that meant I got to craft new cards, it sounded like a good time to get creative LOL!! Our Relief Society is doing a service project and making fleece blankets for the soliders and wanted "Thank You" cards to put with them. These are some of the cards I came up with. There are a couple more patterns--but I don't have them completely done yet. (Translation: They are still roaming around in my head and haven't made it to the paper stage yet LOL We'll have to see if I get them made!) I made each card into a "kit" that was prestamped and could be assembled at the service meetings. We put about 40 of them together last week and will do the remainder next week. It was pretty funny though...I had it in my head that the meeting was today, so being the procrastinator that I am...I spent about 5 hours last night frantically trying to finish the kits up to do today...only to find out that I had my dates wrong and it was actually next week! *sigh* At least I am ahead for once in my life!
Here are the cards: (There are two cards on each scan...except the last card)
heidi I just got that monkey stamp a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to come up with some good ideas, of course they still rolling around in my head. life happens sometimes :) I sure love your ideas, I hope the rest of your ideas come rolling out soon. *grin
The Weatherston Zoo is a crazy place to live! We always joke that we will have a therapy fund for our children in place of a college fund--it might be more useful with our life! We are an retired Army family who have lived all over the United States. We just bought our first home back in Idaho and may never get fully unpacked...Boy we have accumulated a lot of stuff over 23 years of moving! Heidi is a stay-at-home mom who loves spending time with the 3 hoodlums. Kimberly (24) She is currently looking for a job after having graduated from a college in Maryland. Stevie (16) loves to drive his mom crazy and play game boy. Missy (13) loves anything pink, lime green and black (can you tell we are decorating her new room?) and to read nonstop. Stevie and Missy love school and especially their awesome teachers--okay--well since they homeschool--they BETTER love their teachers! We love to have fun together as a family and take every chance we can to celebrate and play!
