Today I was looking at some pictures of a classmate (My 20th reunion is this year) and was noticing the inevitable aging that happens in 20 years *grin* I commented "Wow! We're all getting old!" Missy (my youngest daughter) quickly says "but YOU'RE still beautiful mom!" Wow! Way to get on the good side of your mother! She wasn't trying to funny--she meant it--and that made be feel pretty dang good! Even with my *smile lines* and the extra weight after high school--she still thinks I'm beautiful! What a kid!!
My other fun news today? My oldest daughter has her FIRST DATE!! Kimberly didn't go on any actual dates in high school--she had several friends and did things with them--but didn't find anyone special to go out with. One of the girls in the ward invited her to go to Dallas on a blind date with her cousin--double dating with the girl and her fiancee. They were going to go out to eat and a movie--and then spend the night in Dallas and come home tomorrow. I can't wait to find out how it went!! My first actual date? It was with a guy who worked at the DI...I teased my mom today that she let me go when I was only 15! *gasp* He was...ummmmm...interesting for sure! He kept asking me what perfume I was wearing--I told him it was the popcorn we got at the movie. When the movie was over--I fibbed and said that I had to babysit for my sister (to get away from him) and ran out of the car before he could kiss me LOL! It was NOT the perfect first date! I hope Kimberly's first date goes better!
