While Steven was TDY this summer, we were craving summer bbq's BAD!! Well, Steven's grill is SCARY!! I just could not bring myself to light it--I mean--the fire department stands ready whenever he grills--the flames are so high *grin* Okay...maybe not THAT bad...but scary enough to not make me want to chance it! Microwaved or boiled hot dogs just would not be the same...so Kimmy and I got to thinking--if we were to use the big stovetop griddle--it would be KINDA like the real thing--minus the burned taste LOL! We got very good at our faux-bq's over the summer.
So...as I was planning our menu when Steven left, I asked the kids what meals they wanted...and faux-bq was at the top of their list! Kimmy is our official hot dog chef!
Check out the grill marks on these hot dogs...so evenly placed! Wow--don't they look good? It can't be a bbq'd hot dog without the grill marks! *grin*
