I Miss My Mommy Friday's...

When Steven was in Korea last year, we lived in Idaho Falls which was only about 25 miles from home. It was nice being close to family. Every Friday was "MOM FRIDAY". Kimmy would watch the kids and I would drive up to Rexburg to spend the day with my mom. (and dad too if he was free) We had it down to a perfect schedule! I would pick her up around 8:30 and we would go to McDonald's for breakfast--a sausage biscuit for me and a breakfast burrito for her...EVERY WEEK!! Then we would go to the dollar store and Kmart. Then on down the road to the DI (a local thrift shop) and the church bookstore. We'd end up at Walgren's next and maybe a few other errands--depending on the sales. Sometimes we would meet up with my dad for lunch, sometimes we just had a girl's day. Finally we'd head home and work on sorting and cleaning projects--maybe work in the garage, maybe in the basement, maybe just dusting all the shelves in the living room. Then I'd head home. It helped break up the boredom of Steven being deployed.

Today SHOULD have been MOM FRIDAY...where were you mom? *sigh*

I took the kids out and did errands...dropped Kimberly off to volunteer at the library, went to the grocery store, Walgrens, the Goodwill, and other errands...but it just wasn't quite the same! I miss you!
