...and YUMMY!! We have always looked at caramel apples at the fair and thought "we should make those!" but then never do! We bought the stuff to make them before Steven left, but just never got time to do it *sigh* so I decided it could be a fun adventure! The kids did a great job of unwrapping the caramels (Now why do they wrap them??? They know you are just going to use them in cooking??) Then we got them melted in the microwave and ready to make...they had a blast coating as much caramel as they could on the apple!
We had bought this caramel apple kit at Target on the after-Halloween sale...it had these black gummy worms in them (blech!) but Missy liked them...she had several before turning her face towards me--her mouth looked like it full of black mold (and you can be grateful she didn't show her tongue--it was AWFUL!!)
The best part of making caramel apples? EATING CARAMEL APPLES!! Yum!

We love making carmel apples. Normally we make them every year, but haven't done it yet this year, might have to do that tomorrow for FHE....
I have never made carmel apples but did make my own pizza crust the other day. the pizza tasted just like delivery - it just didn't look like delivery. it looked kind of funny. oh well. lv Maggie
